An eclectic background in the graphic and fine arts has given me experience originating and executing a wide array of work for print, web, and broadcast. As an animator in San Francisco, I worked on many high-profile projects, from the movie 'James and the Giant Peach' to CLIO award-winning commercials. I've also taught art to adults and middle-school students.
Currently, I provide art direction, illustration, animation, graphic design, and instructional design for special projects at the Children's Learning Institute (CLI), a research-to-practice institute within University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston (UTHealth) that regularly partners with state agencies to support early childhood education. The perfect marriage of decades of experience in the graphic arts and passion for education, my role at CLI allow me to assist in the creation of student curricula and professional development materials that serve the organization's ultimate goal of improving education in Texas and throughout the U.S.
Born in Houston, Texas, I've lived in New Orleans, Austin, and San Francisco. I'm currently based in the Houston Medical Center. Daily walks in Hermann Park keep me healthy and connected to nature. The playful antics of my little black cat, Maze, fill my days with laughter.
